My webhook is not receiving events
Run the simulator
- Open the affected session in your dashboard.
- Confirm that webhooks are enabled and a webhook URL is saved.
- Open the Webhook Simulator tab.
- Click Simulate Incoming Message.
- Read the result, including any HTTP status, response body or troubleshooting hint.
If you see Webhook Not Configured, save the webhook URL and enable webhooks before testing.
Use the result to narrow the issue
- Unreachable URL: confirm that your endpoint is publicly reachable and its HTTPS configuration works.
- Authentication or rejection error: check your receiver’s webhook validation and server logs.
- Server error or timeout: fix the receiver and move lengthy processing into a queue.
- Simulator succeeds but real messages are missing: check session connection, event subscriptions and message filters, then send a new test message.
A simulator success verifies the test delivery; it does not establish that every real event is enabled. For groups and channels, check message filters.
If you need help
Contact support with the session ID, test time, error text and simulator result. Redact tokens, secrets and private message content from screenshots. For n8n, start with WasenderAPI Trigger and confirm that the workflow is active.
